I agree 100%.

This thread is proof that many here often agree with me, they just don't want to admit it.

While you and I both realize that pretty much everyone around here is pretty savvy when it comes to consoles, but for the parent buying a console for their kids removing BC and hiding the fact on the packaging is a major no-no. This taken with the argument posed by many PS3 fanatics that the 360 has too many SKU's, and now Sony is doing the same but with even larger differences between them. In addition the PS3 now has three backwards compatibility lists, one per SKU.

In comparision the Wii has one SKU and is dead easy to setup and use.

What are you talking about. It says clearly on the package it doesn't play PS2 games

Needs to be in big flashing red letters. Besides who reads the specs on the box, that would be like reading the manual.

I can see myself buying this version, only reason ive not bought a ps3 yet is cos they are too expensive as it is here in sweden. So i went with the 360 two months ago (im not all that happy with it)

I sure dont mind sony removing BC to reduce the costs, Ill play my ps2 titles on my ps2, heck i still have my old snes connected hehe

Shame with the smaller hdd though

I really don't think HD side on a PS3 is of any concern, it is one of the easiest pieces to change and you can do it yourself. The price of new drives (I belive the ps3 requires a laptop drive?) http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/Br...305&Brand=1305 is very reasonable.

Ooh
Ive never looked into changing the hdd your self, figured it was like on xbox wher you have to mess around with locks and special filesystems and crap like that.
