Exclamation No Luck for this Noob...

Bit of a Linux Noob here...so bear with my ignorance please
Well I have a MSI Ti4200, and I'm running Red Hat 7.0 Kernal 2.2.16-22 (Old I know..) The installer claims that it doesnt have the precompiled kernal interface, (can't download it as I don't have modem under linux), then It says it doesn't have the header files to compile an interface itself!! Where can I get a pre compiled interface? or the header files?

Help!

(Copied this from the Installer feedback thread...)

"I've got a plan so cunning you could call it a weasel."

Anyway.

You should install the kernel-source package from your install media. You should be able to build a driver for yourself then.

Thanks Andy...but....
I Downloaded the Linux installer from the NVIDIA site, I would have a clue where to find the kernal source package! I'll have another look on the driver pages....

nVidia does not (and cannot -- there are way too many different kernels) provide you with the sources to your kernel!

You have to get these sources from your distro somewhere, which is why Andy said "from your install media". Don't bother looking on the driver page, the Linux kernel sources are not there.
